It’s been a fantastic summer packed full of fun shows with my band! Here’s a few pics from some of our shows. We had a blast playing a cabaret at Evergreen Hall in May, Music In The Park Lacombe (moved inside due to rain), Lacombe Days Rising Country, and Friday Night Patio Party for the City of Red Deer. Playing 4 shows at Westerner Days Red Deer this year was a great opportunity, and the band and I had the time of our lives in the Bud Barn Beer Gardens! The Friday night was packed with dancers and music lovers and we really fed off the energy of the crowd that night, playing a high energy show and performing 3o minutes longer than planned. It was also an honour for me to perform at Westerner Days Press Conference in May. I had a great weekend singing the American and Canadian Anthems at the 100th Annual Benalto Pro Rodeo and taking in the rodeo events. Always a good time! Tyler and I even took his old (restored) 1938 John Deere D tractor in the parade! It’s super important to make time for fun memories like that in our busy schedules. This summer I was also excited and honoured to be invited back to Big Valley Jamboree (their 25th anniversary!) to perform on the ACMA acoustic stage! Two of my band members and I did an acoustic style show and had a blast! I even got to reconnect with some fans from the previous year and that makes what I do that much more meaningful!
I always find that summertime, my favourite season of the year, flies by way too quickly! With the busyness of shows, songwriting, working outside on our little farm, landscaping the yard, family campouts, weddings, and getting together with family and friends, before we know it summer is almost over! But the coming of fall brings exciting times as well! CCMA’s in September and another trip to Nashville this fall to record a couple of new singles! Watch for new music from me late fall and postings of more shows! Hope y’all enjoy the rest of your summer and cherish the memories you make! ~Alecia~
