CCMA’s 2017 was a blast! 4 days packed full of events and always wonderful to reconnect with Canadian country music family! A great way to kick off the busy fall season. I wore a lovely gold gown for the CCMA Gala Dinner & Awards (pictured below) which fit nicely with my album “Golden”. I enjoyed many events such as the Gala, the televised Awards Show, recording label parties, songwriters showcases, and probably my favourite event- Music Rescues! This event was in support of a local dog shelter, We All Need A Rescue K9 Rescue, located in Saskatoon. They had many puppies and dogs there to cuddle and love and some got adopted into their furever homes. It was truly amazing and filled my heart. You can see more about it on my Instagram and Facebook pages. Though all the glitz and glam of CCMA Week is fantastic, it was truly wonderful rolling into home at 4am Monday morning. Driving down the dimly moonlit gravel road towards my home in the country and seeing the front porch lights left on welcoming me home. As I pulled in all the animals came to the fence to greet me in the middle of the night. Amazing feeling! From glitz and glam to being covered in horse hair the next morning, and having cuddles with my dog Hank… that is where my heart is truly full. I am enjoying my time at home right now and I leave for Nashville again in a few weeks to record some new music. I can’t wait!! Nashville is my favourite city on earth and I absolutely love the inspiration and creative energy that flows in that place. I am so excited to get back into the studio and see my songs take shape! New music coming this fall and winter =)
